Sgt. Paul Brooks, 41, was killed when his motorcycle collided with an oil truck on Queens Blvd., near 32nd Place, in Queens. He was returning to his command after a hospital visit with an officer who had been injured earlier that evening. He served the NYPD for 14 years.
